If you knew where & what the below pillar was for, then you are a Indian history geek. The very first revolt against British rule in India happened in Vellore in 1806 called the Vellore mutiny or the Sepoy Mutiny of Vellore. This is a pillar for the 1806 revolt. Not sure if this still exist. Need to check when I go next time to Vellore.
